Drag VMware Fusion to the Trash<\/h3>\n<p>First of all, make sure to log into your Mac with an administrator account, and you will be asked for a password when you try to delete something.<\/p>\n<p>Head to the <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Applications<\/span> folder in the <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Finder<\/span>, click on the VMware Fusion icon, and then drag it to the <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Trash<\/span> in the dock. Delete VMware Fusion leftovers<\/h3>\n<p>Though VMware Fusion has been dragged to the Trash, its lingering files, logs, caches and other miscellaneous contents may be stored around the OS X file system. In that case, you can do a Google search about the components for VMware Fusion. Usually kernel extensions are located in<span style=\"color: #008000;\"> \/System\/Library\/Extensions<\/span> and end with the extension.kext, while hidden files are mostly located in your home folder. You can use <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Terminal<\/span> (inside <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Applications<\/span>\/<span style=\"color: #008000;\">Utilities<\/span>) to list the contents of the directory in question and delete the offending item.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Empty the Trash<\/h3>\n<p>If you are determined to delete VMware Fusion permanently, the last thing you need to do is to empty the Trash. To completely empty your trash can, you can right click on the <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Trash<\/span> in the dock and choose <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Empty Trash<\/span>, or simply choose <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Empty Trash<\/span> under the <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Finder<\/span> menu. (<strong>Notice<\/strong>: you cannot undo this act, so make sure that you haven\u2019t mistakenly deleted anything before doing this act.) If you change your mind, you can also right click on the items in the Trash and choose <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Put Back<\/span> in the list.
